New spam filters, blockers, busters and other anti-spam solutions get released daily. Strangely enough, the volume of spam keeps growing from year to year, estimated to cause damage worth close to 19 billion dollars to the US businesses this year alone! The only types of spam fighters that boast 99% spam exclusion rate are based on heuristics, genetic algorithms and neural networks. While these are very good at keeping spam away, they also “kill” up to 18% of valid emails. No business person or web site owner can afford that.

Antispam Scanner is the only spam blocker that is effective at getting rid of unwanted e-mails without accidentally deleting valid emails from customers. How? Antispam Scanner is not a spam filter! Rather, it’s a proactive antispam agent that connects to mailboxes and purges them free from obvious spam (viruses, illegal characters, non-existing addresses, etc) directly on the server. Then it downloads “good” messages. These are the ones that come from known recipients or contain “white list triggers” – names of products a website is offering, typical subject lines (i.e. New Product Release or Press Release for web editors and journalists) and other indications that the e-mail message may be of interest.

The rest of the messages left are parked in the “yellow zone”. These are the messages that are usually killed by “smart” anti-spam solutions. Typically, these are HTML newsletters, article copies forwarded by a friend or e-coupons requested from a web shop. The “yellow zone” messages are not automatically downloaded. Instead, program user looks at the sender and subject line to determine if it’s spam or not. If not, the message is downloaded. Otherwise, the message is deleted. As simple as that.

Antispam Scanner can be easily modified to have specific triggers to exclude or download messages. This solution may not be perfect for a regular e-mail user that receives only a few unsolicited mail pieces. Instead, the program is extremely effective for companies and individuals who receive hundreds of e-mails a day, many of which are junk. Since the program is semi-automatic and does require human interaction, there is no way to cheat or trick it!
